AnnaPresso.com was nominated for the Blog of the Day Awards* earlier this week and received the distinction today. Online since January 2009, the website became popular soon after visitors started to engage with Anna in real-time over Twitter and suggest topics or ask coaching-related questions. The article on the recession started a heated debate on the personal development forums after the recent events in Ireland, and the poll on personal identity that followed is still regarded as one of the most challenging to answer in spite of its simplicity.

I asked Anna today what did she think about the recognition her work is receiving online and she said “I have been coaching clients for over 10 years and it was time to share my experience on the Internet as well, to debunk some of the trade’s myths and draw the line between the friendly conversation with the bartender in the early hours of the morning and the real process of coaching, mentoring or teaching for personal development. Being recognized for my efforts and contribution is extremely flattering – maybe I should write an article about dealing with it, after my series on fighting fear and the calls for action”.

I want to thank all our visitors, especially those who took the time to send their suggestions about the aspect of this website, which is my responsibility. Since you will not read anything else from me until we win the next award, I asked Anna and her agent for permission to address all SEO experts out there that contribute to our comments page – I could not learn this much about anti-spam WordPress plugins without you – Thank you very much!

*BOTDA is awarded by a panel of judges after nomination. Criteria include content, quality, creativity, and the personal opinion of the judges. The contest was launched in 2006 and is the brainchild of Bill Austin.
